Kira Chereé Cobb
Kira Chereé Cobb is a dynamic leader in entrepreneurship, a six-time published author, and the CEO and Founder of three businesses. Since launching her first company in 2006, she has guided the successful launch of more than 600 entrepreneurs and trained thousands nationwide through her programs, keynotes, and workshops. She has also developed a portfolio of transformative programs and trainings, including the 12-week JUMP Business Cohort, the accredited JUMP© curriculum for high school students, reTHINK© training for Entrepreneur Support Organization (ESO) leaders, and the Ready! Set! Score! Small Business Readiness Forum, and AI Readiness training to equip entrepreneurs for the future.
As a recognized subject matter expert in small business development, Kira has consulted with governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, and economic development agencies, designing programs and strategies that strengthen ecosystems, expand leadership pipelines, and ensure minority business compliance. She has partnered with institutions such as the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and municipalities across Missouri and Kansas, shaping impactful entrepreneurial initiatives.
In 2023, Kira founded Black Entrepreneurship Week, launched with gubernatorial support in both Kansas and Missouri, which now stands as an annual statewide celebration of Black entrepreneurship. She extends her influence through her weekly Be Encouraged podcast, uplifting listeners to trust God, move forward, and grow spiritually. She is also the author of I Am Ruth, a dramatic faith-based adaptation that reimagines biblical themes for today’s world.
Kira also leads the Whole Women’s Ministry at The Advancing Church and has been a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. for more than 30 years. She is wife of Cedric Cobb, mother and stepmother to eight, and grandmother to four. With each endeavor, Kira embodies her calling to equip others to walk boldly in business, faith, and purpose.
